Energy switches, contents insurance, and “who paid the broadband” spike before winter. Advertisers know this; your housemates know this; WhatsApp archives know this forever. Open a Business or Family QuickRoom named after the address or the contract year.

Keep the actual payments in the bank app or split-wise tool you already trust. The room is for “boiler made a noise” photos and “the engineer is in the drive”.

A setup that does not become a personality

  • Private room, expiry 7 days or 3 months if the tenancy is that messy.
  • Share the code in the existing house email, not on a public story.
  • Do not paste NI numbers, Social Security numbers, or full account numbers into chat.
  • When someone moves out, let the room expire instead of muting them forever.

How to start

  1. Open QuickRoom and choose Create Room for Housemate Bills and Utilities Chat.
