Display the QR at the start

Create an Event room and put the printable join card on the opening slide or near the entrance. Attendees scan and join without an app install.

Choose an expiry for the end of the workshop day so follow-up questions have a short home.

Facilitator tips

• Ask people to include their name in the nickname
• Pin important links by repeating them clearly in chat
• Use a Private staff room alongside a wider attendee room if needed
• Moderate with the report tools if the room is broadly shared

After the workshop

Export nothing by default—rooms are temporary. If you need lasting notes, copy key takeaways into your usual documentation before expiry.

That keeps the Q&A useful in the moment without creating another permanent community to maintain.

How to start

1. Open QuickRoom and choose Create Room for Workshop Q&A Room.
2. Pick a clear room name and an expiry that matches the real end of the work: an hour, a day, a week, or up to three months.
3. Share the room code (or link/QR) with the people who need to join.
4. Talk in the browser, share images if useful, then let the room expire when the moment is over.

Privacy and access

Workshop Q&A Room on QuickRoom is designed for short-lived coordination. Participants join with a room code and a nickname—no email address, phone number, or app install is required.

Treat the room code like an invitation. Share it only with the people who should be in the conversation, especially for Private or Invite Only rooms.

When the expiry you chose is reached, the room and its messages and images are cleaned up according to QuickRoom’s temporary-room lifecycle. That keeps the conversation from becoming another permanent group you never meant to keep.
